Description
Here it is, after 2 long weeks of sketching, line arting, and finally coloring, is my masterpeice! My peice for a contest (maybe 2) and the second poster for Disney/MARVEL Avengers. And, if I do say so myself, it is AWESOME! I got the idea to do another one after my last D/M poster got over a 100 favorites. I'm always looking to improve, and I thought I could do better than the last poster.
I didn't really get turley inspired to do this until I actually saw the Avengers movie. It is two and a half hours of glorious butt kicking! Hulk was my favorite. So, I started looking for movie posters to Disney-ize. All I could find is the theatrical poster. Which meant I had to draw Main Street.
But, I always look forward to a challenge. I started out with a coloring book of Cinderella Castle. And, even though I didn't draw the castle, I did draw Main Street. And it was actually suprisingly easy to draw. Although, the characters did come easier. The characters and Main Street are all 100% hand drawn. The Avengers logo and the castle aren't. I didn't have enough time.
Speaking of characters, before any of you guys ask, here's why I catsed who: Spider Man, Hulk, and Iron Man are the Marvel Top Three. And since Mickey had failed as an Iron character and Donald is obviously a Hulk character, Goofy got the job. Besides, for some reason Robert Downey, Jr. reminds me of that character. The reason Phineas became Captain America was because nothing's more American than two kids sitting under a tree. Besides, if you look up Phineas on the PnF wiki, it'll say he's humble and self sacrafising. And last time I checked, so was Cap.
As for KP as the Widow, c'mon guys, that should've been beyond obvious. She's a red head, has green eyes, kicks butt, and looks good while doin' it. And since Widow and Hawkeye are a "couple", Ron got the bow and arrow. And Thor, I always thought Asgard resembled Pride Rock, so Kopa became the prince of thunder. See, there's a method to my madness.
Now, for all of you who are supporting it, thank you. For those of you who hate my guts, get over it. I'm not going anywhere, and neither is this artwork. And if you don't like it, simply don't comment on this!
Anyway, thanks again to all of you who are loving this. The stories to go along with the characters should be coming sometime soon hopefully.
